It takes some people years to figure out what they want to do with their life. Others, on the other hand, seem to know what they are meant to do for the rest of their lives from a very young age. Lucky bastards? Sure.
So, yes, this boy has taken action. He wrote a letter to NASA explaining why they should hire him. The letter is concise, it’s honest, it goes straight to the point and it has personality. This kid is good.
Take a few notes people, this is how you write a covering letter. Jack started his letter by writing, “Dear NASA, My name is Jack Davis and I would like to apply for the planetary protection officer job.” Couldn’t be clearer.
“I may be nine but I think I would be fit for the job. One of the reasons is my sister says I am an alien also.” Admitting he is still young but showing he has inner potential at the same time? This kid knows what he’s doing.
Jack also proves he has done the research. “I have also seen the show Marvel Agents of Shield and hope to see the movie Men in Black. I am great at video [sic] games. I am young, so I can learn to think like an Alien.”
…but maybe Jack will get a chance to have a taste of what NASA can offer. Whatever happens, let’s hope this kid never loses his passion for what he loves. Ten more years and this boy could be on the road to exciting things.
