Co-created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, this Adult Swim show has developed quite the cult following. Their fanbase is so dedicated that they even forced McDonald's to reissue their infamous Szechuan sauce. It's a wonderful show that combines all the important things in life:
-Chris Parnell's A+ voice acting
-Guys, I really love Chris Parnell, okay!?
The show is genius, and also full of a lot of dark humor, which cans sometimes spark some questions.
Rick and Morty was co-created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. If you're also a fan of Community, then you're already pretty familiar with Harmon. He created Community too! Yep, slam dunk after slam dunk. Some say he's the Michael Jordan of cult-hit comedies. And by "some" I mean me, right here, just now.
Like a lot of comedy personalities, Harmon is very active on social media. His Twitter currently rocks 609K followers. It's through Twitter that he helped one fan out. We said things would get real ,and well, things are about to get real.
Harmon did not disappoint. It's advice that will resonate with so many people. Plus, way to go Dan on making use of the new 280 character limit, am I right? He owned it. Like a hat or a jacket, he owned it.
A big theme on Rick and Morty is that Rick has a nihilistic "life is meaningless" standpoint. But Harmon points out that just because you can feel like life is meaningless, doesn't mean that life is actually meaningless. It's an important differentiation. Pretty deep for a show that has a character named Mr. Poopybutthole.
In Case You're Wondering, THIS Is Mr. Poopybutthole
This goes against every instinct I have as an Irish woman, but I'll say it anyway. Never, ever bottle things up. Ugh, please don't tell my Guinness that I said that. Don't tell my therapist that either. Thank you for helping me out.
Joking aside, so many people were grateful for this exchange. It helps to know that other people have similar problems as you. Sometimes just knowing you're not alone is a huge weight off your shoulders.
