Long gone are the days where smoking the devil's lettuce is extremely taboo. Marijuana is now legal for recreational use in eight states and Washington D.C., and medical marijuana is legal in a total of 29 states. This just goes to show Americans are not scared to get a little high, for health and personal reasons.
No matter what kind of strain your prefer, you probably stay true to how you get high. Bongs, bowls, rolling papers, and even dab rigs reign in popularity, but now there is an even more innovative way of sparking up. Smoking is about to get super elegant.
3. We're Bringing This Magical Plant Back To Nature
Look out rolling papers — the game has recently been changed. The viral trend of rolling a blunt with rose petals has taken over, leaving us all in red-eyed awe. Smoking flowers have taken on an entirely new meaning.
Although it may seem sort of frivolous, the internet is freaking out over this incredible idea. Luckily, the recipe for a beautiful rose petal blunt isn't too difficult for the even the most novice of rollers. Ready to roll and see for yourself?
A woman named Sasha — behind the Twitter handle @simple_sasha — recently tweeted a video of her rose petal blunt creation. She gives us the complete breakdown, and we can't wait to put our skills to work. Time to break down your weed and try your hand at this floral masterpiece!
First, place the three rose petals on the oven-safe pan. Set your oven to the broil setting and place the pan in the oven for around 10 seconds. The petals should be a darker shade once you take them out!
To make the three petals form one cohesive blunt, you have to line them up. Lick the end of each petal and stick them together — in a straight line. Once you have them sticking together, it's time to put the petals back in the oven.
Place your petal-blunt back on the over-safe pan. Let the petals sit in the oven for another 10 seconds — to really seal the deal. Once out of the oven, allow your rose petal blunt to sit for two minutes before putting on the finishing touches!
The rose petals should have formed the perfect blunt wrapper — fresh out of the oven. The petals should appear crispy but still able to be rolled into shape without breaking apart. Time to add some green! [Editor's note: See? See what we did there?]
Sasha's verdict once she lights up? "Very floral, really good," she states at the end of her tutorial. This blunt flavor is definitely one of a kind, but — as with all methods of smoking — you should err on the side of caution. Thorns are the least of your worries.
13. Smoking On Roses Has Not Been Proven Entirely Safe
Many internet-goers expressed concern about rolling up with rose petals, but the main consensus is that there are worse things to be smoking out of. Rose petals seem like the most natural way to go, but you have to remember that smoking can become relatively unhealthy, to begin with. You might as well blaze with some beautiful flowers!
If you have an undying love for greenery, grabbing a few rose petals and rolling an elegant blunt may be your new go-to. This trend is definitely flourishing, and rolling up some purple in red rose petals does seem pretty enticing. Ah, the beauty of nature.
Whether you follow the newest weed-rolling trends or you like to keep it old school, marijuana has made its way to the forefront of many medical and societal advancements. In the words of Chong, "Come on, light it up. Let's get Chinese eyes, man."*
