Think you know all there is about the Harry Pottermovies? Well, much like Hermione when she found out that exams were cancelled....prepare to be shook to your core. What we have here are 15 details that you probably didn't notice in the films. You'd have to be troll in the dungeon to not appreciate these (thought you ought to know).
2. This Cute Little Snippet In The 'Goblet Of Fire' Credits
While filming the first film, none of the kids saw the set for the Great Hall ahead of time. Those are real-life reactions that we see, not acting. But wait...didn't we already establish that this was a documentary? Now I'm confused.
8. The Food In The First Great Hall Feast Was ALSO Real
Director Chris Columbus wanted the whole experience to be as real as possible. The only catch is that the hot production lights made the food go bad pretty quick. Things got smelly, and from that point on they used fake food. Accio Pepto Bismol!
9. Harry Is Mostly Shown From The Waist-Up During The Yule Ball
Everyone else had three weeks to prepare for the Yule Ball dance sequence, except for Daniel Radcliffe. He only had four days (he's in practically every scene of the film! He was a busy guy!) so they show as little of his feet as possible. He may be the "Chosen One" but that doesn't mean he's got rhythm.
Those iconic radish earrings that Luna wears were actually made by the actress herself! Evanna Lynch knew that character back and forth, and was pretty crafty. It certainly brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "Crafty Witch."
Even though in the books, Tonks' hair is described as pink, the movie version goes with purple. This is because the filmmakers wanted pink to just be associated with Umbridge. Ugh, who would want to be associated with Umbridge!?
Bill Weasley is played by Domhnall Gleeson, son of Brendan Gleeson. Brendan plays Mad Eye Moody, so the father/son duo got to go to work together! On a scale of one to Buckbeak the Hippogriff, how cute is that?
Ralph Fiennes completely improvised Voldemort's weird hug with Malfoy. Tom Felton's dear-in-the-headlights reaction is completely genuine cause he didn't know it was coming. And thus, a legendary reaction gif was born.
Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle were an iconic trio. But...where's Crabbe in the final movie? The actor who played him, Jamie Waylett was arrested for growing marijuana plants so they replaced Crabbe with Blaise Zabini. Some guys just can't catch a break. Anyone have any felix felicis?
Cho Chang appears in the final film, wearing Hogwarts robes. This implies that she's still a student...but she was in the grade AHEAD of Harry. So was she a "super senior" or what? What's your deal, Cho!?
16. What's Professor Flitwick's Secret To Beauty?!
