What kind of underwear do you wear when you workout? Do you go for a thong so you don’t show panty lines? Do you prefer full coverage for comfort? Do you pull out the granny panties because they are going to get all sweaty and gross anyway?
Some like to sport a thong so they don’t show any panty lines. You may like the way your butt looks in a thong, but you are sacrificing your comfort. No pain, no gain doesn’t mean floss up your ass while you are on the treadmill.
Full coverage may feel better, but there’s a whole lot of material going on. Don’t look in the mirror! You’ll see lumps and bumps in all the wrong places. Don’t worry, girl. Your butt isn’t that lumpy in real life.
When you wear that thong on the treadmill, with every movement, the floss up your butt is going back and forth. Back and forth. This causes friction and also allows bacteria to travel from your butt to your lady bits. This bacteria can cause a urinary tract infection. Gross, right?
Yeast infections happen when you sit in wet underwear. When you workout, you sweat. Then add in all that heat and movement from exercising and your nether regions are sure to suffer for it. Yup. Go try going commando and air yourself out!
Leave the underwear at home and your bottom half is bound to feel so much better. That extra clothing can cause chafing and can be irritating so take it off! It’ll be just you, your workout pants and your fitness routine.
Do you find yourself always running out of underwear? You wake up, put on undies and workout. Then you have to throw those in the wash, take a shower, put on a new pair of underwear…. It’s a cycle that requires way too many pairs of underwear. END THE VICIOUS CYCLE.
It's easy breezy when you’ve got nothing on under your clothes. No more tags digging into you with every lunge. No more wedgies. You’ll feel way too comfortable. So comfortable that you may want to stop wearing underwear in general.
Where are a few things that you’ll want to watch out for if you decide to go commando. If you are taking a spin class, you may want to wear underwear for an extra layer of protection. That seat can be rough for a 45 minute ride in general, you don’t want to make it any worse.
Unfortunately, if you go commando you may have to wash your workout pants more often. If you are like me, you may reuse the same pants before you wash them. If you are going commando, however, you will want to wash them every time you use them, which you probably should be doing anyway.
