The internet is a weird and wonderful place. New, weird obsessions pop up seemingly every day. Yes, like the controversy over the season 4 DVD cover of Friends. If there's something to obsess over, the internet will do it. And that's especially true with Reddit users. Apparently, everyone on Reddit has a copious amount of time on their hands. People of Reddit, how do you do it? And, well, they've done it again. They've gone and obsessed over something.
It all began with this photo, posted two years ago now. Reddit user chirv posted it in the popular "Pics" subreddit. He captioned it, "While on a run, this goat started following me... and kept up for two miles (before being picked up by its owners)." Now, when you look at this picture, you probably think, hey, that's a cute goat! It would be fun to have a goat to go on a run with. I need a running buddy. I need to go running.
Right? That's totally what you're thinking. That you want your running buddy to be a goat, too.
Well, maybe someone on Reddit was thinking that. But they had something else on their minds.
Innocent enough, right? Maybe a bit controversial since it could have arguably been posted in the "Aww" subreddit instead, but nothing major. However, no one focused on the goat in the picture.
Reddit became fascinated with this guy's eyebrows, because let's face it, his eyebrows are really awesome. Upvotes started pouring in, and the post soon found itself on the front page. The picture itself received over 6.7 million views.
Everyone know that eyebrows are important. Some girls would kill for eyebrows like that. Some girls spend hours in front of the mirror trying to make their eyebrows look even half that good.
Some folks actually enjoy being roasted on Reddit. They even literally ask for it. However, this guy didn't, but it didn't stop the insults from flying in, and even more interesting pictures from those lovely users.
It began with the "You look like"s. Luckily, chirv had a good sense of humor about the whole ordeal. Lucky for us, that is, because if he really were a living ventriloquist doll, he'd be able to murder us all.
Some users felt his eyebrows made him seem super patriotic. There are worse things than being told your complexion is waxy, I suppose. Then again, with eyebrows that sculpted, this guy definitely knows all about wax.
Then came the Photoshops. So, so many. There is no better trolling than trolling with Photoshop, because that requires a very specific and well-honed amount of skill. And also enough free time to bother to do so.
It was pointed out that he had a very silent movie star type of face. Hard to imagine that? Not anymore. Thanks, you anonymous heartless heathens. That goat is looking good in black and white, we must admit.
Looks like chirv was followed by more than just a goat. Hey, it's a nice day, and people like to go for walks. Also, maybe he was also trying to get a pic of those brows for the sweet, sweet internet points.
If chirv was tired of the attention his eyebrows elicited, there's always a solution. Someone was even kind enough to show him what that'd look like. Somehow he looks even more like a creepy mannequin this way. And there's no goat. Where'd the goat go?
There's no denying this guy's eyebrows might just be the G.O.A.T. But what about the actual goat in the picture? Sadly, once everyone caught a glimpse of those eyebrows, the goat was even more in the background than the original photo.
Yep, the goat was even photoshopped out of some of the pics. You know what goat wouldn't have been? This guy right here. If there's one thing Reddit loves, it's cute animals and crazy eyebrows. Make way for the new king of the upvotes.
