Leagan said she had said no when this guy asked her out. But he thought he could bribe his way to a date by texting a photo of his credit card. He even shared a pic of the back of the card, so she could use the security code and get anything she wanted.
Thinking there's no sense in letting such a silly offer go to waste, she went to work. And then the guy texted her a screen grab of an email he received from a place called Jungle Jumps. Apparently, Leagan had used his credit card in order to rent, of all things, a bouncy house.
Leagan confirmed that yes, that's exactly what she did. And why not? If someone is dumb enough to share their credit card info with you, it only makes sense to use it on the dumbest purchase you can think of.
Leagan took the pics of the text exchange and shared them on Twitter. She also said they're all invited to come to her bouncy castle party, funded by the guy's credit card. Although no word on if the guy himself is invited or not.
After sharing the text messages, Leagan's tweet blew up. It got over 240,000 likes and over 76,000 retweets. And she also got many responses...although some seemed to just people who want to go to her party.
One Twitter user thought it would be fake, because Leagan used the guy's email to reserve the bouncy castle, which would ensure that she would get caught. But he's the one that made the offer, so there was no need to be secretive. And now she got the added bonus of adding the guy to the Jungle Jumps' email list.
Some people were upset that Leagan blocked out the guy's credit card number in the photos. But that would probably be too much. He's already paying for a bouncy castle, which seems like just the right amount of punishment.
Someone criticized Leagan for not purchasing something more extravagant with the credit card, like a Tiffany necklace. But as this person pointed out, the best thing to do with someone else's money is to spend it on something you wouldnt' buy yourself. Besides, a bouncy castle will bring you more joy than a necklace any day.
This wasn't the first time Leagan posted messages of guys sending texts and not getting the hint. In May, she posted photos of texts she got from three different clueless guys. And just a heads up, most women won't be flattered if you creepily say you want to see them in yoga pants.
Another heads up: If a woman is not responding to your texts, it means she doesn't want to talk to you. Perhaps it's time to move on to someone else at this time. And for some reason, repeating the word "Hey" is not going to change her mind.
And Leagan also shared this creepy exchange with a guy who hoped to "get into trouble" with a 17-year-old. It's really too bad these guys didn't share their credit card info as well. Leagan could have thrown bouncy castle parties every weekend for the rest of her life.
But it was still her bouncy castle party tweet that earned Leagan so much praise. Perhaps saying Leagan is more inspiring than Malala is a bit of an overstatement. But getting a clueless guy to fund a ridiculous party may still make her worthy or hero status.
