Ah, remember those classes we had, as few and far between or as far back as they may have been, where we couldn't wait to learn and share? The time seemed to go by so fast and we almost didn't want the lunch or recess bell to interrupt our fun learning experience. Those were the days.
Then there were those classroom experiences that we could hardly stay awake for, whether it was repetitive material or that the course theory just seemed so irrelevant to us somehow. Or, maybe the only available course we could take with the credits we needed was something like "Visualization Of Food Science." Zzzzzz...
3. Some Students Like To Color With Highlighters To Brighten The Dullness
It's surprising the creative and colorful notebook masterpieces that can be made with just a handful of highlighter markers. The neon hues may even shock the eyes enough to keep them open without toothpicks until the dullest class ever is finally finished.
4. This Bored Student Decided To Draw His Professor
A college student posting his drawings anonymously on social media wrote that his business management professor was "painfully boring" even on the first day of class, so he wanted to see how well he could draw him. The mysterious student said he wasn't an artist, but he sure seemed to nail his prof's likeness on the first try!
With each class and each drawing he did, the student improved his sketching techniques and became even more creative in his ideas. The irony of course is the student's learning and growing didn't occur in the course but in his odd artistic pursuits. But isn't that how true artists work?
Our college guy, who definitely seemed to be in the wrong course, expressed his reason for drawing his prof every day by writing, "Naturally, I sought ways to cure my boredom during this class." What does seem natural is this person's ability to draw. He could really take the art world by wrecking ball... er, storm.
Depicting your business management professor as Marilyn Monroe? You'd think that would be a jump the shark moment for this student, but it only seemed to show just what an imagination, and artistic talent, this kid has. Still, what if the prof found out this bored kid was drawing him like that? It's technically the prof's real face that appears with each of the student's drawings and the pics are going viral.
Even if the kid's prof recognizes himself in the photos with the drawings, and learns that apparently he's the most boring teacher alive, it could be much worse. He could be one of the many older science teachers out there who thanks to a little TV show called Breaking Bad has students seriously thinking he's a meth cook.
Hopefully, the student reaches out again on social media to update those interested in his story as a bored business management student who realized he has art skills. Perhaps he even ended up switching his major to fine arts? Stay tuned...
