These two strangers looked so much alike they even took a DNA test to make sure they weren’t related (they’re not). But Niamh Geaney (on the right) did launch Twinstrangers.com, a project to see who could find their closest lookalike.
Neil Douglas boarded a flight to County Clare, Ireland and found a stranger sitting in his seat. The stranger looked exactly like him, was wearing the same shirt and was even booked in the same hotel at Douglas. The two bearded lookalikes took a selfie and the rest is history.
Amanda Fisher first learned of her doppleganger Meredith Pond from a friend who spotted Pond on Instagram. After some effort trying to locate Pond, fisher finally made contact and the two girls swapped more photos.
Adam Sandler found his doppleganger on Reddit when Max Kessler posted this picture on Imgur after watching the trailer to Sandler’s The Do-Over. Sandler took notice and invited Kessler to the film’s red carpet premiere.
Comedian Rob Winston met his doppleganger at one of his shows and tweeted a selfie to his fans. Takeaway lesson: A beard might increase your chances of having a doppleganger (as well as a pair of glasses).
