In September of 2015, Apple announced their plans to finance and build an electric "Apple Car" to compete with Tesla and other electric car manufacturers. Before you put in your preorder, inform yourself on all of the reasons that owning an Apple Car would be pretty terrible.
Really not looking forward to that moment where my car is running low on juice and I ask all of my friends if they have an iCar charger and they're all like "I've got an iCar 4 Charger, is that fine?" and then I'm all like "Nah, I've got an iCar 5" and then I get eaten by a coyote in this scenario because I'm stranded in the desert.
3. It'll Start Awesome, and Then Get Terrible After a Few Years
If you've ever owned an Apple product, you know how planned obsolescence goes. After a few months it slows down, takes longer to start up, maybe the charger goes bad and the rubber protective feet start falling off. Now in this situation, replace "feet" with "wheels" and "charger" with "brakes." We're onto you. iCar.
4. Having to Buy a Special Screwdriver to Work on it Will be a Chore
Imagine having to drive your car into the Apple Store to fix the brakes button that just stopped working for no reason and they tell you you've got to set up an appointment before they'll look at it. My brakes don't work, lady. I don't have time to look at iCal!
