The internet meme'd and gif'd this, as they're wont to do. But I feel it was more out of respect than anything. They wanted to get in the good graces, and what better way to do that than with a bunch of likes?
How do we know the statue wasn't to blame for this mind-boggling feat? I don't want to advocate praising false idols. But what if it's not false? How can we truly know? Best to thank anything and everything, just to be safe. Spreading gratitude can only help, not hurt.
Is this really proof of a creator? Who knows. Either way, it's a sight to behold. But maybe you should do your best to lead a good life... just in case. Otherwise a force you don't fully understand might smite you with an awful, terrible, no good, bad day.
