The '90s were a wild time. There were all sorts of things that were socially acceptable back then that aren't today. At least the TV was good.
Scratch that. The TV was great. There were so many great shows there are plenty you totally forgot about. One of those might be The Big Comfy Couch.
These pictures are likely bringing it all back. A bunch of clown people on a big couch seems like a weird premise for a show, but we ate it up as kids. More than anything, you likely remember this character.
Her name is Loonette, and she was awesome. She may have been the first crush for many of us. Not just because she was beautiful, but because she was insanely talented.
Even if her talents were a bit odd. I still have no idea how she twirled her legs like that. The clock segments were always so mesmerizing.
The show debuted 25 years ago. Hard to believe, but it's true. The show ran until 1996, then came back for a few years from 2003-2007.
The original Loonette was played by Alyson Court. When the show debuted, she was only 19 years old. So what's she been up to all this time since the show ended?
First of all, this is ridiculous. It looks like she hasn't aged a day since the Couch debuted. As for what she's been up to, turns out she's been busy.
She's an accomplished voice actor. This isn't something she got into recently, either. She actually played Lydia on the Beetlejuice animated series back before The Big Comfy Couch debuted.
She's voice acted in several cartoons over the years. She's also lent her voice to video games. She can be heard in several of the entries in the Resident Evil series.
She started acting at a very early age. Many child stars have a hard time growing up in the industry. Some have gone through rough times, and it's always nice to see when they overcome them.
Many child stars are embarrassed by the roles that launched them into the public eye. Court isn't one of them. As you can see, she embraces being Loonette.
She's happy to slip back into this character. She does it quite often, actually. Here she is posing on set as Loonette back in October 2016.
She's also very politically outspoken. She's not afraid to voice her opinions on her Twitter. Sometimes, she does so in character as well.
It's really crazy to see how little she's changed in 25 years. Not just physically, but being awesome as well. It's great to see child stars that turned out this well.
