Remember back when you had to burn a friend’s CD in order to get the music for free? Music today is much more convenient, seeing as you can just have your entire Spotify music library on your smartphone.
In the ‘90s it seemed like there were about 20 different ways you could play your music on the go, including portable CD players and those little Hit Clips.
Those little bastards will never have to know the horrors of dial-up internet. That, and the fact that you had to yell at your little sister to hang up the phone because you just wanted to get on the internet for five minutes!
Pop music today certainly is different from the stuff that we listened to in the ‘90s. Back then it was the Spice Girls and Britney Spears, and today kids are listening to Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus.

Back before everyone and their grandmother had a smartphone, you used to have to call your friends on their home phone, or maybe get on AIM (if your parents would let you). Nowadays, kids can pretty much talk to their friends on any social media platform on their smartphones.
Barbies were pretty commonplace in any little girl’s toy collection back in the ‘90s. Kids now, however, are starting to realize that Barbie promotes unhealthy body standards and sexist stereotypes for young girls. Luckily, nowadays companies like Disney are creating more strong female role models, like Moana.
Selfies weren’t really a thing in the ‘90s. Pretty much if you wanted a picture of yourself, or of you and your friends together, you’d have to ask a random stranger walking down the street. And we certainly didn’t have those damn selfie sticks.
Today it’s easier than counting to 10...you just click a button on your phone and you can edit to your heart’s content.
Back in the day it was a royal pain to shop for gifts - during Christmas every single store was packed to the brim with other shoppers and you of course had to drive all over the city to find the perfect gift.
Nowadays you can just click a couple buttons online and have your gifts shipped right to your house!

Everybody who grew up in the ‘90s remembers those little pixelated Game Boys and playing Donkey Kong 64 on your Nintendo. Nowadays, the graphics have gotten too good for words and you don’t have to worry about walking away and accidentally unplugging your control, because everything is wireless now.
