Diana Ross has had a bit of a frenemy relationship with Patti Labelle. They respect each other for their talent. However, Ross didn't respect Labelle enough to not insinuate that she eats her own eyelashes. I don't know exactly what that means, but it's somehow still savage.
You know how you become one of the biggest divas of all time? By throwing shade at freaking Oprah. When on her show, Houston was asked about her personal life. Houston angrily responded to Oprah by saying, "We're here to talk about Exhale. My life is none of your business."
If you're gonna throw shade, be witty about it. Unless you're Kylie Minogue, who straight up admitted to hating Mariah Carey when asked. Funny enough, Mariah hatred will pop up yet again on this list, but she isn't nearly as shaded as another legendary pop diva....
If you ever wondered why Madonna's so pale, it's because she's constantly in the shade. Even Cher bashed her, saying, "She's unbelievably creative because she's not unbelievably talented. She's not beautiful. She's rude. She's creative, but rude."
Why do so many stars seem to hate Madonna? It could be because she's as rude as Cher says she is. When she was a guest on Arsenio Hall's show, she said, "If any of my dancers got their hair cut like yours, they couldn't be in my show. No fades. It's tired."
She also isn't afraid to hit below the belt. When live on camera with a strung-out Courtney Love raving about reasons she loved L.A., Madonna quipped another reason she enjoyed it was, "A lot of available drugs."
Perhaps the shadiest of the shade-throwing comes between Mariah Carey and Madonna. Mariah has said many unflattering things about her over the years. Once when asked what she thought about her, Carey said, "What about her? I used to like her."
Let's end on a positive, awesome note. At 1998's Divas Live, Aretha Franklin stole a singing part from Celine Dion. Instead of storming off in a huff, Celine challenged her to a sing-off. The best entertainers are the ones that make even their petty feuds massively entertaining.
