Wait just a minute. Let's not panic. This must surely be some mistake.
Okay. I admit, this looks bad. This is an increase of nearly 80 percent seemingly overnight. But surely, this has to be a coincidence...right?
These are just isolated incidents. They have to be. I mean, the cans have been 99 cents since 1992.
You can't do that. I see that they did, but...come on. How did they get away with it? At least these are all likely contained to a single region and not spreading.
This is bad. Very, very bad, everybody. Inflation has hit the un-inflatable. And it appears to be nationwide.
The world is truly mad. We now see a 99 cent can of Arizona Tea sold for $1.25. And after seeing the prices elsewhere think, "This is a great deal."
Look at Arnold Palmer's face. He knows this is a crime. He didn't want his legacy to be associated with this naked greed tactic.
This has even spread off the mainland. What is supposed to be heaven on Earth has now become a hell. This is our new reality, everyone.
You can clearly trace the stages of grief in these tweets. We've seen denial. Now we're seeing anger, and it's never been more justified.
We've seen bargaining with the two for $2.50 deal. Depression and acceptance come next. This poor gal sadly realizes the world has irrevocably changed.
This insanity has spawned a new stage of grief: shaming. How dare these retailers think they can get away with this. They should be marched through the streets barefoot and nude.
Way to go, store. You made Arnold Palmer cry. Don't tell me that's just condensation on the can. I know a broken heart when I see one.
Is anyone reading this an attorney? Are you related to an attorney? There has to be something we can do. I'm not saying they should get the death penalty for this, but I'm also not not saying that.
This sets a dangerous precedent. Arizona Tea used to be cheaper than water. Does this mean that H2O will now also go up in price? When will it end?
Think this is just a problem in the U.S.? Think you can escape it? You're wrong. The whole world is mad. Best to just accept it... and move on to shaming.
