It turns out that he and Adam Levine grew up together and they are still really close. They are so close that when Adam and Behati Prinsloo got married, Jonah officiated their wedding. Jonah’s brother currently manages the Adam’s band, Maroon 5.
He was only supposed to have one line in the movie 40-Year-Old Virgin. When they filmed the scene in the E-bay store, it was a rainy day so they stayed in the store and took their time filming. He improvised with Catherine Keener and they kept some of it in the movie.
Jonah’s favorite filmmaker of all time is Martin Scorsese. Jonah was so desperate to work with Martin Scorsese in The Wolf of Wall Street that he agreed to take a huge pay cut. He only made $60,000 and his fellow cast members were getting paid millions.
Apparently Martin Scorsese already had him in mind for the role of Donnie Ozoff in The Wolf Of Wall Street. He wanted to meet with him to offer him the role and Jonah insisted on auditioning for him and refused to just meet. He auditioned and got the role and the rest is history.
Jonah and Justin became good friends after they starred in Campus Ladies together. They became such good friends, that they moved in together. According to Justin, the two went their separate ways because they would "fight like an old married couple."
Jonah was wearing fake teeth for The Wolf of Wall Street, Because of the fake teeth, he started talking with a lisp. In order to cure the lisp, he spent hours on the phone making phone calls to random businesses to help him practice speaking.
We should all thank Jonah for helping make21 Jump Street become a movie. Channing Tatum passed on the movie twice saying that he didn’t think that he was funny enough to do it. Hill was able to convince him and they were both hilarious in the end.
Jonah loves to improvise on set and many of his lines in the movies he’s in were not actually written in the script. He was the one who improvised the line to ask for a Milky Way bar in This Is the End. Then everyone on set went along with it.
For three years in a row, Jonah appeared in a movie that was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Moneyball, Django Unchained and The Wolf of Wall Street. He was also nominated for an Oscar twice! Once for Moneyball and the other for The Wolf of Wall Street!
His father, Richard Feldstein, was a tour accountant for Guns N' Roses. His brother is a manager for bands. So, before becoming an actor, Jonah wanted to be a hip-hop producer. He got to play one in Get Him to the Greek so I guess his dream kind of came true!
